Sandler draws the largest crowd

Adam Sandler on radio row. (Gary A. Vasquez/NFL)

DALLAS — Hugh Jackman captivated the crowd when the swept into Radio Row like the snow storm that blanketed the city. Jaws were dropped and there was much swooning — and that was just from the men. Jackman whisked around the room, flashing that famous smile while making time for everybody … even us.

Hugh Jackman is the man. But it is past 5 p.m. local time and Jackman is still here.

Wow, this is awkward because well, I think you have extended your stay mate. Jackman has become that party guest who is still rummaging through your fridge in the wee hours, pulling out that 24-ounce Bud Light/Clamato that you had forgotten was still in the crisper.

Could somebody please put him in the taxi queue?

The entourage of gawkers that were following around Jackman like a gaggle of baby geese this morning have now flown the coup. In fact, Jackman was by himself and walked past Adam Sandler, who has amassed the largest horde this week on Radio Row. Sandler’s posse even included a few armed security guards.

Even Marisa Miller and Brooklyn Decker did not command the presence that Sandler has going for him right now.

Congratulations, Adam. Your posse wins the title. Your reward is to make some more mildly amusing, yet befuddling re-watchable movies.
