ARLINGTON, Texas — Looking for an unheralded player who could make a big impact for the Steelers on Super Bowl Sunday? Look no further than the receiver position. Three Steelers’ receivers have been selected as Super Bowl MVP (Lynn Swann Super Bowl X, Hines Ward Super Bowl XL, and Santonio Holmes Super Bowl XLIII).
A point that is not lost on WR Mike Wallace.
Wallace said that he has been dreaming about being the next Steelers’ receiver to make the big play to win a game. But he said that it all starts with execution.
Another point that wasn’t lost on Wallace was that his Media Day podium was situated in the far end zone – an omen perhaps of things to come.
So Mike, since you have been dreaming of the big play, what have you envisioned?
“Taking it 98- or 99-yards, no doubt,” Wallace said. “Taking it the length of the field. That would be the ultimate.”
