Monday on radio row shows reality bites

DALLAS — The first day of radio row parallels the opening act of a rock festival. You know the cool stuff and main eventers are going to be along shortly. But for now, enjoy the Aqua Bats on the side stage!

Numerous big-time stars are expected on radio row this week, including Marisa Miller and Jennifer Aniston. But that is much later in the week, because nobody cool shows up on Monday. Even a character actor from a CW series wouldn’t be caught dead at radio row on Monday.

On Monday, you would be lucky to catch a glimpse of a reality television star. Which, incidentally, is possible considering that former Real World star Kyle Brandt is a staffer on Jim Rome‘s radio show. Brandt was a bit too busy to talk this morning, but hopefully we can catch some time with him later this week to ask him how it feels to be surpassed by WWF champion The Miz as the Real World‘s most notable alumnus.

Well, outside of that bike messenger who ate peanut butter out of the jar with his fingers.

For now, everybody appears to be going through the motions, similar to the tackling (or lack there of) in the Pro Bowl. So, like the impending snow storm heading for Dallas, we patiently await the arrival of the A-listers to blanket the city.

In the meantime, we’ll try to determine if that guy setting up the NFL Network stage (even they aren’t here yet) really is the former winner of Big Brother 8.
