Late-addition Brown makes quick impression

MOBILE, Ala. — Most fans associate San Diego State with Marshall Faulk, but the school has produced a number of pro players over the years, especially at receiver with Haven Moses and Isaac Curtis.

The Aztecs also have a number of receivers currently playing, including Kassim Osgood, Chaz Schilens, Roberto Wallace and the Packers’ Brett Swain who is headed to the Super Bowl.

Another Aztec receiver might be on his way to joining that group based on his Senior Bowl practices.

Vincent Brown, a late addition to the North roster, has looked impressive in workouts.

He originally caught my eye due to his outstanding statistical production down the stretch for San Diego State. He averaged 147.5 yards and scored seven touchdowns in the last four games, with 167 of those yards and two of those touchdowns coming against the best defense in the nation (TCU). He also showed game-breaking ability by averaging almost 20 yards per catch for the year.

His performance at practice is showing why he put up such astounding numbers this past college season. He is snatching the ball and plucking the ball so naturally.

He is really a guy, that between his college production and his outstanding effort over the first two days of practice, has really helped himself.
