Giants’ Tuck says he will make ‘statement’ to Rolle

Giants safeties Antrel Rolle and Kenny Phillips caused quite the stir Monday when they said during a radio interview they would love to play for Jets coach Rex Ryan.

Phillips has since clarified his remarks, but several Giants told the New York Daily News they were not happy with Rolle’s choice of words. At least one of them plans on addressing it with Rolle.

“I haven’t talked to him yet, but it is on my agenda to call Antrel,” said defensive captain Justin Tuck. “When I do, I will make a statement.”

Phillips appears to have been caught in a situation where he was simply trying to answer a question about Ryan truthfully. Rolle, who didn’t back off comments after he was critical of Coughlin in September, had much more pointed remarks. It never benefits a team when a player takes in-house issues public, something Rolle has even previously acknowledged. Yes, he aired the dirty laundry again.

Rolle clearly has issues with how Coughlin runs his ship. Giants fans, how much of an issue do you have with Rolle?
