Before the Bowl, you might as well roll.
The sixth annual NFL Super Bowl Celebrity Bowling Classic will be held on two separate days this year with accomplished bowler and NFL great, Lynn Swann, hosting both events.
“They say that everything is bigger in Texas, so it’s only appropriate that we extend the Classic into a two-day bowling extravaganza in Dallas-Fort Worth, the bowling capital of the world,” said Swann, who is not only a Pro Football Hall of Famer, but was enshrined in the Bowling Hall of Fame as well.
The U.S. Bowling Congress moved from Wisconsin to North Texas in 2008. The Arlington site is now home to the International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame, along with the International Training and Research Center.
Both bowling events are open to the public:
Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m.
300 Dallas in Addison, Texas
Thursday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
Main Event in Fort Worth, Texas
Tickets are $300 per individual or $500 per bowling couple, and all proceeds will be donated to NFL Charities.
Some of the other NFL greats slated participate in the Classic include Ed
“Too Tall” Jones, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson, John Randle, Marlin Briscoe and Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson.
