Is Dennison the leading candidate for Broncos?

John Fox met with the Broncos on Wednesday, the last of five known candidates to interview with Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway this week about the team’s head-coaching vacancy. Already on that list are Eric Studesville, Perry Fewell, Dirk Koetter and Rick Dennison.

Does a front-runner exist among the group to replace Josh McDaniels?

Information man Jason La Canfora told NFL Network he continues to hear rumblings that Dennison could be the man to beat for the job. Dennison is a former teammate of Elway and has deep ties to the organization after 24 years there as a player and an assistant. He spent last season as the offensive coordinator for the Texans.

La Canfora also throws out that Jim Fassel could interview with the Broncos.
