You’re not going to find any NFL.com video highlights of Reggie Wayne’s performance in the Colts’ AFC wild-card loss to the Jets. His stat line: One catch, 1 yard, one memorable postgame quote.
Wayne, who finished the regular season second in the NFL with 111 receptions, was a non-factor against Darrelle Revis and the Jets. And he couldn’t hold in his frustration in the locker room following the game.
“I give everything I’ve got no matter what,” Wayne said, per the Indianapolis Star. “Every day, I give it everything. And . . . one ball, that’s all.”
Wayne was targeted one time by Peyton Manning, who had 26 attempts.
“I shouldn’t have even suited up,” Wayne said. “I should have watched the game like everybody else. I was irrelevant.”
