Ten-year-old Ava Childs loves Robbie Gould, broccoli and doing curl-ups. Because of those loves, plus being a role model for children’s fitness, the Glen Ellyn, IL native was named the NFL’s official “Super Kid.”
As one of the perks of that honor, Childs will be on the field before the Super Bowl to hand the game ball over to the official before kick-off. She also had the opportunity to meet her idol, Gould, when he surprised her at her school to announce her win.
Childs was selected out of 17,000 young fans. She aspires to be the first female kicker in the NFL one day.
