Pats’ Welker, Light added to Pro Bowl roster

Patriots WR Wes Welker and T Matt Light have been selected to the Pro Bowl, it was announced Wednesday.

Welker and Light will replace Texans WR Andre Johnson and  Dolphins T Jake Long, respectively. Johnson battled a right ankle injury all season and is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery after missing the last two games of the season. Long was bothered by shoulder and knee problems for much of the season, although he didn’t miss a start.

Also not playing in the Jan. 30 game is Lions rookie DT Ndamukong Suh, who will have shoulder surgery Monday. An alternate has not officially been named.
