It’s Black Monday, providing us with no shortage of coaching hot stove talk.
The future appears uncertain forĀ Tony Sparano in Miami, where the situation is best described as wait-and-see.
Steve Wyche told NFL Network that Sparano has a meeting soon with owner Stephen Ross, but the feeling of the people he has spoken to is that Sparano won’t be back, due mostly because of the owner’s desire for a big-name coach.
Jason La Canfora believes “there’s potential for them to make change.” His sources close to the situation believe Jeff Ireland will remain as general manager, which would likely eliminate Bill Cowher from taking any opening.
But Cowher and Jon Gruden will be the focus if there is a change in Miami. Though it might take a few days to see which direction Ross is headed.
