Giants RB Brandon Jacobs isn’t the best at hiding his true feelings, or using a filter when it comes to the media.
So while the Giants have a number of questions to answer after missing the playoffs, even after the vote of confidence given to Tom Coughlin, Jacobs might have helped give us an idea of how the situation will unfold at running back (via Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News).
“You’re all getting pictures of Brandon Jacobs leaving, wondering if he’ll ever return …,” Jacobs said. ” … That’ll be your caption tomorrow. #@&$ you all.”
And then Jacobs left.
Jacobs had some productive weeks late in the season, but it was difficult for some to imagine him returning to the Giants even before those comments, given his $4.65 million and $4.9 million salary the next two seasons and the breakout season (sans fumbles) from Ahmad Bradshaw .
Given Bradshaw’s pending free agency, though, it seems some changes could be in store in the Giants’ backfield.
