Woodhead likely done for day

It doesn’t look like we’ll see Patriots RB Danny Woodhead again in Week 17 against the Dolphins.
The Patriots announced during the second quarter Woodhead was questionable to return after sustaining a head injury. It appears Woodhead might have been injured on a play during the second quarter in which he fumbled. He took quite a shot from Dolphins DE Kendall Langford.
At the very least, Woodhead hasn’t taken the field since, and spent the rest of the half on the bench with his helmet off. Woodhead had to rushes for 19 yards.
It also appeared at one point during the second quarter the Patriots had given the hook to QB Tom Brady, who left the game mid-series in favor of Brian Hoyer after the Patriots gained a first down. That certainly would have made many Patriots fans breathe easier.
But Brady returned on the next series. It appears to have been a lesson in situation football from Bill Belichick, who was likely simulating an injury situation in which Hoyer would take over. Hoyer didn’t complete either of his two pass attemtps.
We’ll keep an eye on how much Brady plays during the second half.
