Sanchez makes cameo for Jets

It turned out to be a very short Sunday for Jets QB Mark Sanchez.

All week, just how much Sanchez, who’s dealing with a right shoulder injury, would play against the Bills was a topic of conversation. Well, Sanchez lasted a total of nine plays, all on the Jets’ first series, and handed off nine times.

That was it for the day, as Sanchez was replaced by Mark Brunell on the next series.

The Jets already have clinched a playoff spot, so there’s not much to gain by playing a less-than-healthy Sanchez. Among the Jets’ inactives were RBs LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene and CBs Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie.
