Okung limps off for Seahawks

The image of Russell Okung limping off the field has to make Pete Carroll cringe. He’s seen it enough times this season.
Okung, the Seahawks’ rookie left tackle who has had problems with both ankles this season, limped off the field late during the second quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Rams. He appeared to injure the ankle when he stepped on the foot of QB Charlie Whitehurst while pass blocking.
Okung is walking up and down the sideline, but isn’t getting checked by trainers. Chester Pitts entered the game at left guard, with Tyler Polumbus sliding out to left tackle.
With the NFC West and a playoff berth on the line against the Rams, it goes without saying the Seahawks will need Okung against James Hall.
