Barber could be the fantasy Scrooge this week

Felix Jones and Tashard Choice couldn’t have a better matchup this week – a game against the Cardinals and their awful run defense on Christmas Day makes them very attractive options.
That is, unless Marion Barber returns to action.
Barber has missed several games due to injury, but the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that he’s expected to be back in action. Based on the Cowboys’ track record this season, that’s bad news for Choice.
Barber has clearly been the least effective runner in the team’s three-headed backfield committee, but he’s still been allowed his share of chances in the offense for some reason. Coach Jason Garrett said that Jones will continue to get the majority of touches. What’s more, Choice will also have playing time against the Cardinals.
But if Barber is available, he’s going to see some carries, too.
“We have three running backs,” Garrett said. “We are going to make sure we give each of them opportunities.”
While I would still play Jones regardless, an active Barber will make Choice a much-less attractive sleeper in fantasy championship week. As someone who owns Choice, I’m hoping Barber sits out one more week.
