In the current playoff landscape, the Green Bay Packers are on the outside looking in. But that doesn’t mean the playoff ship has sailed.
The Packers (8-6) are still in the hunt for an NFC wild card, and with wins in both of their final two games against the Giants (9-5) and Bears (10-4), will qualify for the postseason. A healthy Aaron Rodgers will play a big part in any playoff push.
The fate of the Packers was a topic of discussion on “NFL Total Access” on Wednesday, and they got a lot of support from analysts Trent Green and Rod Woodson. Green believes Rodgers is the difference-maker who will push the Pack into the playoffs, and Woodson says once they do, they’re a threat.
“I think they’re a dangerous football team,” Woodson said. “I really believe in this football team. They have the No. 1 scoring defense in the NFL. Everyone talks about the offense, but that defense can play football. I think they’re a dangerous team if they make it into the postseason.”
