Gailey won’t deny Bills will avoid Connolly

On the same day we found out Rex Ryan’s Jets won’t kick the ball anywhere near Devin Hester, it has been suggested Bills head coach Chan Gailey will deploy the same strategy with Patriots’ secret weapon Dan Connolly.
OK, not really. But it was entertaining when Gailey’s Wednesday news conference began with a question from a reporter on whether the Bills would be kicking away from Connolly.
“Ah, that’s a good one,” is all the no-nonsense Gailey would offer.
But notice he wouldn’t deny it, either. Dan Connolly, you have arrived. Brandon Tate who?
Joking aside, it’s been a big week for Connolly. He was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday in recognition of his 71-yard kickoff return in the win over the Packers, the longest kickoff return by an offensive lineman in NFL history.
