Favre Watch: Winter edition has enthusiasts edgy

When you think of Favre Watch, you think of those dog days of summer when Scott Hanson is camped out on the lawn of Brett Favre‘s house in humid Mississippi. Now the winter edition has our Bert Breer freezing his tuches off at the University of Minnesota waiting to see if Favre can give it a go. Bert’s shoulders are covered with snow, looking like an extra from a Head & Shoulders commercial.

Favre is on the field right now, testing that shoulder in the snow.

For the fantasy enthusiast, Favre’s presence does have a considerable impact. Especially for those brave souls who have decided to roll with RB Adrian Peterson tonight (and bless you people for doing that, hopefully your faith will be rewarded because we are all pulling for you). Favre also makes WR Percy Harvin and TE Visanthe Shiancoe much better, too.

The only downside is for people who are playing Joe Webb, who is listed as a QB/WR on some platforms, giving some players a chance to slide a quarterback into the flex spot. Hopefully you have another option if Favre does play.

In any event, good luck to all of you who are counting only players tonight. (Except for my boss, Craig Ellenport who could knock me out of the playoffs with a huge game from Bears RB Matt Forte.) At least this should be fun to watch.
