The Broncos made ailing Kyle Orton their No. 3 QB for Sunday’s game against the Raiders, confirming that ballyhooed rookie Tim Tebow will make his first NFL start.
Brady Quinn, acquired from Cleveland in the Peyton Hillis trade, is Denver’s No. 2 QB.
A league source told NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi on Saturday that Tebow would start. Another source told NFL Network insider Albert Breer that Orton, who suffered bruised ribs in last week’s loss to the Cardinals, had his injury grow worse throughout the week.
