Shanahan knows what he is doing

Redskins QB Rex Grossman has four touchdown passes today.
Yep, Rex (expletive) Grossman.
Coach Mike Shanahan, we all owe you an apology.
Everybody — and I mean everybody — condemned the benching of QB Donovan McNabb. Or they made jokes about Grossman. There were even reports that the Redskins were upset about McNabb’s benching and there were concerns that the team could quit.
So much for that.
Shanahan even looked like a fool when the Cowboys jumped out to a huge lead. The headlines were already being written. Trust me.
But not only did the Redskins respond to Grossman, they have played some of their best football of the year. Starting with Grossman and his four touchdowns.
To put it in perspective, Grossman has played one game, and his four touchdowns are only 10 fewer than McNabb. And with his first multi-touchdown game of the season — in his first start — that is only one game off McNabb’s pace (he had two multiple-touchdown games).
And hey, Grossman has a start against the Jaguars next week. Could Grossman be leading people to a fantasy league title? Hey, crazier things have happened. Like Grossman throwing four touchdowns against the Cowboys.
