It’s officially on paper: Donovan McNabb is the Redskins’ backup QB.
McNabb, whose benching was announced Friday, was listed as the No. 2 QB for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, and Rex Grossman is the starter.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Friday that John Beck, who’s the No. 3 QB at Dallas, will supplant McNabb as the No. 2 signal-caller in Washington’s final two regular-season games, next week at Jacksonville and Jan. 2 against the Giants.
The Redskins will have CB Carlos Rogers, who missed the previous two games because of hamstring injuries.
The Cowboys will be without two of their offensive weapons, WR Roy Williams (groin) and RB Marion Barber (calf). Both had been questionable.
