UPDATE: Sims-Walker returned late in the second quarter.
Playing their biggest game of the season in Week 15 against the Colts, the Jaguars can ill-afford to lose any playmakers. So it was a huge blow when WR Mike Sims-Walker left the game during the first quarter with an apparent right ankle injury.
Sims-Walker was injured when his right foot was caught underneath a defender on an incompletion from David Garrard. Sims-Walker immediately clutched at the ankle and was brought to the bench, where trainers looked him over.
Unfortunately for Sims-Walker, it’s the same ankle that has caused him to miss two of the last four games. He originally injured the ankle Nov. 14 against the Texans. According to the Jaguars, he’s probable to return, but it remains to be seen how close to 100 percent he’ll be.
