Proof that extra points aren’t quite automatic …

Redskins fans, look away. For everyone else, this might be the best video we get all day.
This is the latest proof that extra points aren’t automatic in the NFL.
Graham Gano had an awful afternoon (he missed two earlier field goals) for the Redskins and will be the poster child for this play, but it was holder Hunter Smith who wasn’t able to handle the high snap from Nick Sundberg. A deflating moment for the Redskins, which will go down as one of the most memorable moments of Week 14.
It also shouldn’t be ignored that the decision by Raheem Morris to go for a two-point conversion following Kellen Winslow’s 41-yard touchdown, giving the Bucs a seven-point lead, turned out in hindsight to be a brilliant move.
