A helmet-to-helmet hit delivered by Landon Johnson resulted in the Lions linebacker being carted off the field at Ford Field Sunday.
Incidentally, it was Johnson who delivered the blow that knocked Aaron Rodgers out of the game during the first half with a concussion.
Johnson went down after he hit Andrew Quarless on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter. He was down on the field for several minutes as trainers immobilized his head/neck area and strapped him on a backboard before loading him on the cart.
Officially, Johnson suffered a neck injury. While announcing that Johnson won’t return, as was expected, the Lions said Johnson does have movement in all of his extremities.
