Jackson replaces injured Favre for Vikings

UPDATE II: Favre returned to the sideline and was spotted talking with head coach Leslie Frazier, very likely to talk his way back into the game. For now, Frazier has decided to stick with Jackson and Favre remains on the sideline with his helmet on.

UPDATE: It doesn’t look like Favre will return anytime soon. After throwing briefly on the sideline, Favre left the field midway through the first quarter and headed to the locker room.

Vikings QB Brett Favre was knocked out of Sunday’s game against the Bills after taking a hard hit and suffering a shoulder injury. He is questionable to return.

Tarvaris Jackson replaced Favre, who was injured after Arthur Moats delivered a big hit from behind on a third-down play. The hit caused Favre to make an errant throw, which was intercepted by Bills CB Drayton Florence.

Favre then sat on the bench on the sideline, surrounded by team personnel.
