Haynesworth, Torain ruled out for Redskins

Albert Haynesworth was a surprise inclusion on the Redskins’ inactive list against the Giants on Sunday, two days after he was limited in practice because of an undisclosed illness.
It has been an up-and-down season for Haynesworth, who had training-camp run-ins with coach Mike Shanahan, then missed time after his half-brother died in a motorcycle crash.
The Redskins also won’t have RB Ryan Torain, who had been listed as questionable because of a hamstring injury that kept him out of the previous three games. The team said Keiland Williams will start in Torain’s place, and James Davis will be the backup.
Giants WR Steve Smith (pectoral) and OT David Diehl (hip) were ruled out after initially being considered doubtful.
