Gonzalez sidelined for Falcons

The Falcons are locked in an NFC South throwdown with the Bucs in Tampa, and what they didn’t want to see was TE Tony Gonzalez limping off the field. But that’s exactly what happened.

Gonzalez was injured during the fourth quarter while running a pass pattern, and it appeared a defender landed on his left foot as he was making a cut. He was limping badly as he left the field.

The Falcons have yet to make any official announcement on Gonzalez, who has three receptions for 38 yards, but Justin Peelle is in at tight end.
