Giants coordinator losing no sleep over Vick

You have to say this for Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, at least he has guts. In a profession where coaches go out of their way to compliment opposing teams, make the opposition seem better than they are (cue former Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz talking up Navy), Fewell may be a breath of fresh air.

Dolphins WR Marshall injures hamstring

Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall injured his hamstring on the Dolphins’ final drive of the first half against the Bears. He is questionable to return. With time winding down in the second quarter, Marshall caught a pass from Tyler Thigpen, ran across the middle and tried a spin move, at which point he fell to the ground and grabbed the back of his leg. NFLTA on Tap: Can the Bears protect Cutler?

Here’s an inside look at Daryl Johnston (you can’t quite make out the Super Bowl ring he’s sporting), Fran Charles and Hall of Famer Rod Woodson prepping for Wednesday’s “NFL Total Access.” Speaking of NFLTA … plenty of talk today on the matchup between the Bears and Dolphins on “Thursday Night Football.” Can the Bears protect Jay Cutler? Are special teams and running the ball the keys for the Dolphins? Plus, a Michael Vick conversation. Rod and Daryl will discuss how the Giants can try to contain the Eagles quarterback after his epic Monday night performance. Jason La Canfora is up for a look Around the League, plus Rod examines Cameron Wake of the Dolphins on the touchscreen and NFL VP of Officiating Carl [...]

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells returned to practice on Wednesday and said that he felt pretty good (via the team’s official site). Well why shouldn’t he, it’s not like he worked on Sunday or anything.

Would a 3-7 record, a bleak shot at the NFC playoffs and a banged-up Brett Favre be enough to prompt a change at quarterback by Vikings coach Brad Childress?
