Vikings WR Berrian ruled out vs. Redskins

Vikings WR Bernard Berrian will not play against the Redskins on Sunday.
Berrian has been nursing a groin injury and was limited to a handful of plays in last week’s loss to the Packers. He was limited in practice Friday and had been listed as questionable on the injury report.
With Berrian out, the Vikings will lean on WR Sidney Rice, who also was listed as questionable but will play Sunday. Rice has been limited in practice since being activated from the physically unable to perform list with a hip injury.
Vikings QB Brett Favre will make his 296th consecutive start Sunday, but the Star Tribune reported that he’ll be less than 100 percent because of an illness.
For the banged-up Redskins, CB Carlos Rogers (hamstring), C Casey Rabach (knee), LB Rocky McIntosh (thigh), LB Lorenzo Alexander (hamstring), DE Kedric Golston (elbow, groin) and G Artis Hicks (thigh) are active. All were listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
The Redskins again won’t have SS LaRon Landry (Achilles) and RB Ryan Torain (hamstring) because of injuries. Landry will have missed two games, Torain three.
