Trufant sidelined for Seahawks

UPDATE: Trufant returned later during the second quarter for the Seahawks.

An undisclosed leg injury has forced Seahawks CB Marcus Trufant out of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. The Seahawks announced at the start of the second quarter Trufant won’t return.

Still, Trufant was spotted warming up on the sideline following the announcement, trying to get back in the game.

Trufant also left last week’s game against the Saints with a head injury, but wasn’t listed on the injury report during the week.

For now, rookie Walter Thurmond is in for Trufant, and he’s already been targeted several times by Matt Cassel while covering Dwayne Bowe. That seems to be a match-up the Chiefs would like to exploit.
