Chargers TE Gates active against Colts

The San Diego Chargers have Antonio Gates back on the field for their showdown against the Indianapolis Colts.

The All-Pro tight end, was actived for the first time since Week 8 and started Sunday night.

“Gates looks good,” the San Diego Union-Tribune reported, in reference to his pregame routine. “He appears to be moving even better than before the Tennessee game.”

Gates has missed San Diego’s last two contests because of a painful foot injury.

The Chargers are looking to extend their winning streak to four against the AFC South-leading Colts.

San Diego inactives include: WR Patrick Crayton, RB Ryan Mathews, DB Darrell Stuckey, DB Steve Gregory, G Louis Vasquez, DT Cam Thomas, TE Kris Wilson, and DE Travis Johnson.

The following Colts are inactive: WR Austin Collie, KR Justin Tryon, DB Bob Sanders, RB Joseph Addai, LB Clint Session, LB Gary Brackett, DB Kevin Thomas, and TE Brody Eldridge.
