If you have Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, your heart probably stopped a little bit after he went out of Sunday’s game at Washington. And then you probably asked yourself, why didn’t I have RB Toby Gerhart handcuffed to him?

Gerhart is available in nearly every fantasy league, meaning that you are not alone. And it goes without saying that he will be a hot name on the wire this week. Even if Peterson’s injury is not serious.

Peterson told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora that his injury did not seem serious and that he expects to play next week. But lesson is learned, and you need to keep your star players handcuffed.

If you have a top player, and a guy on your roster who is never going to play (looking at you C.J. Spiller), the time to make a move is now. Drop those scrubs and get your handcuffs this week, people.
