Kerry Collins is active for the Titans and will back up rookie QB Rusty Smith, who will make his first NFL start Sunday against the Texans.

Collins had been listed as questionable because of a calf injury. The Titans lost regular starter Vince Young for the season last week after he injured a thumb against the Texans.

The Titans’ defense will take a hit with DT Jason Jones and DE Dave Ball unable to play because of knee injuries.
