Steelers’ Ward, Kemoeatu active, but Keisel out

Steelers DE Brett Keisel has been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup with the Raiders, NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported, citing a team source.

Keisel missed three of the previous four games with a hamstring injury and was listed as questionable on the Steelers’ final injury report Friday.

WR Hines Ward, who suffered a concussion last week against the Patriots, will return to action, as will guard Chris Kemoeatu. Both were listed as probable on the injury report.

The Steelers later confirmed the news when they released their inactives list. They also announced that Ramon Foster would start at right guard in place of Trai Essex, who is active.

The Raiders won’t have Pro Bowl CB Nnamdi Asomugha (ankle) and WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (hamstring), both of whom were listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Raiders TE Zach Miller (foot), who also was questionable, is active.
