An early injury note to pass along out of New Jersey, where Cowboys CB Terence Newman hasn’t seen much action against the Giants due to an ankle injury.
Newman limped off the field following a play early during the first quarter and hasn’t returned. He left the sideline later during the quarter for the locker room, and the team said he would undergo X-rays. He’s listed as questionable to return.
With Newman out, Orlando Scandrick has taken over at left cornerback opposite Mike Jenkins. The Cowboys entered the game thin at cornerback, and the only other active corner on the roster is rookie Bryan McCann.
