Browns CB Sheldon Brown was on the wrong end of a collision with Jets WR Braylon Edwards and left Sunday’s game in Cleveland with a right shoulder injury.
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported that Brown is questionable to return.
Brown was injured while trying to tackle Edwards on the Jets’ first possession of the game. The cornerback took the brunt of the hit on his left shoulder and the side of his helmet. He was down on the field for several minutes and had to be assisted off the field.
Edwards, a former Brown, still doesn’t appear to be a favorite in Cleveland, as some pushing and shoving ensued after the play.
First-round draft pick Joe Haden replaced Brown in Cleveland’s base defense.
