The Lions won’t have DE Cliff Avril (quadricep) in Sunday’s meeting with the Bills, but QB Shaun Hill (left forearm) is back after missing two games and expected to start.

The Lions’ secondary received good news, with safety C.C. Brown (knee) and CBs Chris Houston (shoulder) and Alphonso Smith (shoulder) all active. All three had been listed as questionable after being limited in practice Friday.
