Could there be more playing time on the horizon for Cowboys RB Tashard Choice? That is the word, according to the Dallas Morning News. Choice told the paper that he was going to be part of the Cowboys’ rotation this week against the Packers. But coach Wade Phillips seemed rather ambivalent about the whole thing.

“He just told me to be ready you’re going to get back in there on the offensive side of the ball,” Choice said.

Phillips wasn’t as matter-of-fact about it when asked during his press conference.

“I don’t know if he will,” Phillips said. “I just told him to be ready.”

As always, take these proclamations with a grain of salt. We all remember Jets coach Rex Ryan saying last week that he wanted to get RB Shonn Greene into the mix. So coaches say these things all the time. And with all Cowboys running backs, I will believe it when I see it in regards to them establishing the run. Especially if the team gets down early against the Packers. So put it on your radar, but don’t rush to add Choice to your roster.
