Chargers TE Gates misses practice; doubtful

Chargers TE Antonio Gates (toe/foot) was held out of practice because of his ailing feet and was listed as doubtful on the team’s injury report.
TE Randy McMichael would become a great sleeper candidate if Gates is unable to go, especially when you consider what Colts rookie TE Jacob Tamme did last week. The Texans have allowed the most points to tight ends this season than any other team outside of the Bills.
WRs Malcom Floyd (hamstring) and Legedu Naanee (hamstring) also missed practice on Friday, both are listed as doubtful. Are Tony Martin and Anthony Miller available? Kidding. But the Chargers are going to be very thin at the position. Patrick Crayton is a good option, and Seyi Ajirotutu is a decent sleeper in deeper leagues.
Some fantasy enthusiasts have debated if they should drop Floyd at this point, especially with WR Vincent Jackson returning to practice. But I would hang on to Floyd until the team’s bye in Week 10 and see where he is at then.
