UPDATE: Young was in a walking boot as he left the locker room following Sunday’s game and confirmed that he reinjured his left ankle, according to multiple reports. The Titans are on bye next week, giving Young more time to heal.
We’ve witnessed a number of quarterback changes again in Week 8, due to either ineffectiveness or injury. The latest to add to the list is Vince Young, who has left Sunday’s game against the Chargers with a left leg injury.
Young injured his left leg on a 4-yard run during the fourth quarter and was replaced by veteran Kerry Collins. Young was untouched on the play, and immediately clutched his left ankle. He remained on the sideline through the end of the game, though, typically an indication the injury didn’t require any immediate testing.
There was no official announcement from the Titans on Young’s injury, although he appeared to be limping badly following the end of the game.
