Rams’ Jackson ready to go six days after finger surgery

The Rams will have RB Steven Jackson against the Panthers on Sunday, just six days after he had surgery on a broken ring finger on his left hand.
Jackson insisted earlier in the week that he would be ready to play.
“Absolutely, I will definitely be out there Sunday,” said Jackson, who had two pins inserted into the finger. “The surgery went fine. Everything went well. It’s unfortunate it had to happen. It’s on the left hand, so it’s not a big deal as if it was my right hand.”
Rams CB Ron Bartell (neck) and OT Jason Smith (concussion) were both limited in practice this week and had been listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report. They are both inactive against the Panthers.
