Hamstring injury sidelines Redskins’ Torain

An injury to starting RB Ryan Torain has left the Redskins thin in Sunday’s matchup against the Lions in Detroit.
The Redskins announced during the third quarter that Torain is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. With Clinton Portis and Chad Simpson already inactive, it leaves Keiland Williams as the only tailback available for Washington.
Torain wasn’t having a productive day before the injury. He had nine rushes for 10 yards, although he did have three receptions for 19 yards and a 6-yard touchdown catch on a pass from Donovan McNabb.
The Redskins have been out of sync against the Lions, and having Torain unavailable down the stretch definitely doesn’t help.
Redskins safety Chris Horton also has been ruled out of the game with an ankle injury.
