Fisher: Britt to miss ‘extended period of time’

The initial postgame reports on the right hamstring injury suffered by WR Kenny Britt don’t appear positive for the Titans.

Jeff Fisher said following Sunday’s loss to the Chargers he expects Britt to miss an “extended period of time,” according to The Tennessean. Britt was injured trying to get to a deep pass from Vince Young during the second quarter and didn’t return, spending the second half on the sideline in street clothes.

Britt has emerged as the Titans’ big-play receiver, and had a career day last week with seven receptions for 225 yards and three touchdowns in a win over the Eagles.

The Titans are on bye next week.
