Favre after hit: ‘I’ll be fine’

A follow up post on Brett Favre, who still took the podium following Sunday’s loss to the Patriots, even though he wasn’t able to finish the game after taking a hard hit to the chin during the fourth quarter.

Favre admitted his chin was numb after getting eight stitches, and said he still expects to play next week.

“I got hit very hard,” Favre said. “Oh yeah, it was sore. And bleeding.

“I don’t want to make a big deal out of it. I remember everything, unfortunately. But I’ll be fine.”

As for the ankle┬áinjury that was to keep Favre out of Sunday’s game against the Patriots, Favre said he was “shocked” he was able to play.
