Saftey Brown leaves game for Lions

It goes without saying that the Lions can ill-afford to lose any members of their defensive secondary. So it was a tough blow to see starting strong safety C.C. Brown helped off the field Sunday against the Redskins.

Brown is officially doubtful to return.

Brown appeared to injure his right knee while making a tackle on RB Keiland Williams late during the third quarter. Trainers were focused on Browns’ knee as he was down on the field, and he was unable to put much weight on the leg as he was helped off.

Amari Spievey came in to replace Brown.
