Asomugha leaves game with ankle injury

An injury update to pass alongĀ out of Oakland, where Nnamdi Asomugha had to be helped off the field after suffering a right ankle injury during the fourth quarter against the Seahawks.

Asomugha turned his right ankle while defending a deep pass against Golden Tate, and was in obvious pain as he spent several minutes down on the field. Asomugha wasn’t able to put much weight on the ankle as trainers helped him leave the field.

He was replaced on the following play by Jeremy Ware. Asomugha was also sidelined earlier in the game due to a hand injury.

It’s difficult to judge the severity of any injury so quickly, but leading 23-0, it seems very unlikely Asomugha will return for the Raiders.
