Panthers RB Stewart expected to start

Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams missed practice on Friday, and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game at St. Louis according to Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer (via Twitter).
This might be viewed as good news for fantasy enthusiasts who just want to be put out of their misery with Williams who ranks 30th among running backs on NFL.com. To put it in perspective, Raiders RB Michael Bush and Seahawks RB Justin Forsett rank higher than Williams, who was likely a second-round pick in most leagues.
RB Jonathan Stewart will start for the Panthers, and remember, he was outstanding when he replaced Williams last year finishing 2009 with three 100-yard games — including a 206-yard effort against the Giants in Week 16. The Panthers offensive line has struggled this year, however, so temper your enthusiasm a touch on Stewart. But he is still a viable No. 2 running back this week.
