Panthers RB Stewart could be an option

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that DeAngelo Williams (foot) missed Thursday’s practice. If he can’t practice on Friday, Williams likely won’t play against the Rams.

That scenario would make Jonathan Stewart an interesting option for fantasy owners.

Stewart was an absolute beast last season while Williams was on the sidelines and would be a viable No. 2 fantasy back or flex starter against the Rams if he’s thrusts into a starting role.

Because of his lack of statistical success up to this point, Stewart is available in close to 40 percent of leagues.
