The wheels have been put in motion for “NFL Total Access” on Thursday, and it promises to be another big show. When you put Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, former QB Trent Green and insider Jay Glazer on a set along with host Fran Charles, there’s always a pretty good chance of that.
Plus, they’ll be talking early and often about Brett Favre.
Most (OK, I’ll be honest, EVERYONE) around NFL Network expects Favre under center for start No. 292 in Foxborough, Mass., against the Patriots on Sunday. On Wednesday Favre gave every indication he plans play, which is what he means when he says he won’t rule himself out. Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said Thursday he would be surprised if Favre doesn’t start. So would we.
But what happens after that is anyone’s guess.
Will Favre be mobile enough to make all the throws? Will his ankle and heel injuries deteriorate during the course of the game? And, most importantly, how long of a leash will coach Brad Childress have if Favre proves to be ineffective?
The NFLTA crew will hit up the Favre conversation to kick off Thursday’s show. They’ll also take a closer look at the Packers vs. Jets, Glazer will look at key stories around the league, the question of who is to blame in San Diego will be answered, and Woodson goes back on the touchscreen to break down the Bengals and Terrell Owens.
Tune in at 7 p.m. ET.
